Painful Cystic Acne. When you’re a teenager, it’s not unusual to have one or two pimples. But if you have big, red, and painful pimples on your skin, it could mean you’ve developed something called cystic acne.

This acne can be treated. Do not try to wait them out. Cystic acne can last for years. This can bring up your wide and left exterior skin area. A dermatologist can help you in a collection of medications.

What is that

Your current pores in your skin are clogged, usually with dead skin cells. Sometimes bacteria trapped inside the pores also cause the area to become red and swollen.

Cystic acne current events go deep into your skin, look for red and soft lumps filled with pus. It may be painful or itchy. If the cyst ruptures, the infection can spread, causing more breakouts.

Who gets it? And where?

You will most likely develop cystic acne in your teens or early 20s. But can attack a person as young as age 8 or as old as 50 years. Your face, chest, back, upper arm, or shoulder can adjust.

Cystic acne is more common in men, but also women. Women often have cysts at the bottom of the face.
What causes it

No one is sure exactly the cause, but hormones called androgens play a role. As you get older, androgens increase. This causes changes in your skin that can be exposed to pores and clogged acne. In women, hormonal changes can be caused by menstrual cycles, pregnancy, menopause, or a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome.

If one of your parents suffers from acne, you have a greater chance of getting it.
